Company Update

We refer to recent press speculation concerning Sundance Energy Australia Limited (ASX:SEA) (“Sundance”).

Sundance confirms that it was, and remains, in discussions with various parties in connection with a material acquisition of US shale assets and associated funding (“Proposal”).

The terms of the Proposal remain incomplete and any entry by Sundance into binding transaction documents remains subject to completion of negotiations with a number of parties. There is no certainty that agreements can be reached or that the Proposal can be implemented.

Sundance will keep shareholders informed of any developments in accordance with its continuous disclosure obligations. At this stage, shareholders do not need to take any action.

In the interim, Sundance believes it is important that interruptions to trading in its shares are minimised and so requests that the voluntary suspension in respect of its shares be lifted with immediate effect.
