About Sundance Energy Australia Ltd.
Sundance Energy Australia Ltd. is an
Adelaide-based, independent energy exploration company. Its wholly
owned US subsidiary, Sundance Energy, Inc., is located in Broomfield,
Colorado, USA. Sundance is primarily focused on large, repeatable
resource plays where horizontal drilling, advanced-fracture
stimulation and enhanced recovery technologies provide the means to
economically develop and produce oil and natural gas reserves from
unconventional formations, including projects targeting the New Albany
Shale and Bakken Shale formations. Presently the Company owns acreage
in the Cooper/Eromanga Basin of Australia totaling approximately
1,340,000 gross acres and 570,000 net acres. In addition, Sundance
owns an interest in oil and gas rights under 82,000 gross acres and
21,000 net acres adjacent to the prolific Elm Coulee Bakken shale oil
field in North Dakota and approximately 98,000 gross acres and 47,500
net acres in the Indiana portion of the Illinois Basin. The Australian
permit is focused on larger, more conventional oil and gas structures.
For 2008, Sundance expects to be drilling as many as 21 wells in the
United States.
